Maspalomas is an international Resort in the south of Gran Canaria.
Maspalomas is situated on the southern tip of the island of Gran Canaria. Situated on the shores of the Atlantic. To the southeast it is separated by the dunes of Maspalomas from the sea. Maspalomas consists mainly of resorts and associated infrastructure. The village is divided into the following parts:
El Oasis: southern part, consisting of the Faro (lighthouse) and the oldest holiday resorts (1960s)
Meloneras: southwestern part, consisting of large hotel complexes, shopping center and convention hall, built in 1997
Campo International: middle and eastern part, consisting mostly of bungalows and a golf course area, built 1980-1995
Sun Country: North Western part of Maspalomas, built in the 1980s with smaller hotels and private residences, since 1997 added more hotels
El Hornillo: Located in the west of the town, home to affluent residents , such as hotel managers
El Tablero: Northern part, already on the north side of the highway, few hotels and residences of many hotel employees.
